The Napa Valley Backroads Winery Experience is an association of small production artisan wineries located in the eastern hills between Rutherford and St. Helena in the historic Chiles Valley district. We offer your clients and guests a unique and intimate experience that few who come to Napa Valley have the opportunity to savor.

Chiles Valley is an undeveloped, high-elevation valley that parallels the eastern side of Napa Valley. As an agricultural preserve, the area is free of the traffic and congestion encountered on Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail. Our charming wineries are located along winding country roads and offer a relaxing and intimate opportunity to learn about and enjoy limited production wines. Many of the wines we offer are not available in the marketplace and can only be purchased at the wineries.

The member wineries, Nichelini Winery and RustRidge Vineyards offer outdoor picnic areas, so we encourage people to bring a boxed lunch. Alternatively, for a prearranged fee, we will host private lunches and tastings. We welcome drop by visitors during our hours of operation (see Member Wineries) and encourage private tasting with sufficient prior notice. With that in mind, we ask that any group larger than 12 people call in advance so that we will be properly prepared for them.

Your clients are VIPS at our wineries and your prior notice will ensure the highest level of hospitality.
